Typology of Russian regions in the context of international cooperation and regionalization
The article is devoted to the classification of Russian regions and their typology. It analyzes Russian regions, shows how the types of regions influence their opportunities and the level of international cooperation.
World developments related to globalization and regionalization, have become apparent in the Russian Federation, having impact on international cooperation of Russian regions and foreign policy. One of the main characteristics of current foreign policy in Russia is the development of the regional component.
The researchers used the method of content analysis and the method of comparative analysis in order to carry out the classification of regions.
In conclusion, the authors identify the peculiarities of international relations of Russian regions.
