Abstract:

The interests of modern linguistics extended considerably. Now it investigates the most sophisticated, subtle, nearly indiscernible matters of semantics. In recent years many linguists focused their interests on pragmatic components of lexical meanings – “the thinnest matter of the word” – as an object of semantic, pragmatic and lexicographic description.
In the present Project the essential problems for discussion are Pragmatic Semantics, the speaker – language sign interrelations. The problem that demands a combined systematic, structural and communicative approach is description of lexical meanings. There are certain pragmatically marked elements of human lexicon that should be revealed and described systematically.
Another important task is to classify various micro-components comprising a larger structure of the pragmatic macro-component of the lexical meaning, and analyze their textual potential. Solutions of these theoretical problems are necessary for creation of correct models for lexicographic description and typology of Pragmatically Marked Lexicon. The ‘pragmatic words’ are gathered, for example, in active type dictionaries or in special computer databases.
