2 Tomsk State University
Introduction: The article presents the results of the work on identifying and describing 30 Shor national activity games and sports that are culturally labeled, reflect the historical forms of motor activity of the Shors, as they go back to the common Turkic heritage (belt wrestling, archery , tug-of-war, as well as prevailing in the specific mountain-taiga conditions of Southern Siberia (racing on tree-stubs, pine-stuffed bag fighting, skiing).
The aim of the study is to study the influence of the Shor national activity games on the formation of motor skills in schoolchildren of grades 5-9, taking into account ethnic characteristics.
Materials and methods: the following methods were used: work with scientific literature and informants, the method of control pedagogical testing and pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics.
Results: the main results are that we have determined the list of games that are focused on solving certain pedagogical problems. The authors were able to prove the positive impact of the Shor national activity games on the formation of motor skills among schoolchildren, which is reflected in the magnitude of the increase in the level of physical abilities in the experimental and control groups. The greatest increase in indicators of the level of physical fitness is observed in boys of the experimental group, in all tests it was significantly higher than the increase in the control group. The Shor schoolgirls of the experimental group showed high results in the development of such physical abilities as the explosive power of the legs; rapidity; flexibility; power endurance; overall endurance, flexibility.
Conclusions: the findings are propounded that the types of physical activity associated with the Shor national activity games have a significant positive impact on the development of motor qualities of the 5-9 schoolgrades' students and are an effective and adequate means of achieving the main goal of physical education which is the harmonious development of the student’s personality.
