Abstract:

In the article German sentences with the prepositional verbal nouns are considered from the point of view of relations of hypotactic taxis. The article describes the concept of “the prepositional verbal nouns”. The prepositional verbal nouns are constituents of the functional-semantic field of the hypotactic taxis in modern German.
This article is devoted to consideration of the German sentences with prepositional verbal nouns from the point of view of forming in them relations of dependent taxis. Prepositional verbal nouns are the most important constituents of functional-semantic field of dependent taxis in Modern German.
The analysis revealed that german prepositional verbal nouns participate in the implementation of taxis values of simultaneity/preceding/consecution. German prepositions während, vor, nach, seit, in, bei, mit, unter perform the so-called “taxicforming function” and mark a certain type of taxis relations. Statements with prepositional verbal nouns with prepositions of differential temporary values während, vor, nach, seit are central components of a functional-semantic field of dependent taxis. They are characterized by the highest degree of specialization of the implementation of taxis function and contain explicit indicators of taxis relations of simultaneity/asynchronicity. German sentences with prepositions of heterogeneous semantics in, bei, mit, unter are peripheral constituents of the functional-semantic field.
In statements with prepositions in, bei, mit, unter relationships of adverbial taxis are formed, suggesting the syncretism of taxis relations of simultaneity in the “pure form” and some other adverbial values (modal, medial, conditional, causal, concessive, etc.). In these statements we can we can the so-called adverbial-taxis relations of simultaneity: modal, medial, conditional and causal taxis relations.
