Abstract:

In the epoch of the global crisis the man’s state of affairs is critical. The aim to pursue material benefits and fear for the fragile life have almost ousted the problems which must come first – those of spiritual search and the man’s existence. The article deals with the issues of spiritual basis of culture. There have been indicated some ways out of this critical situation. Firstly, it is crucial to accept the idea of metaphysical basis in the man’s life such as spirit and soul. Secondly, the very recognition of metaphysical foundation of the man’s existence can protect people from psychological disorder, suicide, crime, immoral and aimless life. The author emphasizes that it is the culture which identifies the man’s attitude to eternity. Cultural creativity demonstrates the man’s absolute, infinity, and transcendency, the man’s inexhaustible cultural potential. People who create the environment do not just reconstruct the world, they excel themselves.
