Introduction. The article addresses the problem of preparing future teachers of economic disciplines. The purpose of the study is to identify the impact of educational support and guidance for the interaction of future teachers with families (young and single-parent families) on improving their financial culture.
Materials and Methods. In this study, the authors defined financial culture based on the educational cultural. In order to achieve the research goal, the authors used theoretical (analysis, generalization, and systematization) and empirical (questionnaire) methods, as well as statistical data processing techniques. The study involved 38 future teachers (as the study organizers) and 134 young and single-parent families of college students (as the study participants). Based on the developed questionnaires and survey, a direct correlation was found between the influence of educational support and guidance for the interaction of future teachers with families (young and single-parent families) and improvements in their financial culture. In the formative stage of the study, a system of educational support and guidance for the interaction of future teachers with families (based on young and single-parent families) was developed and tested.
Results. The main results of the study include the following: it was found that students (future teachers of economic disciplines) while working with families (with young and single-parent families) on formation of financial culture increase their own financial culture. In practice, it has been proven that effective educational support and guidance for the interaction of future teachers with young and single-parent families is a system consisting of a complex of educational and awareness-raising activities, work of student associations, organization of a targeted educational process, and mentoring and tutoring of young and single-parent families.
Conclusions. The results of the study prove that educational support and guidance for the process of interaction of future teachers with families (with young and single-parent families) affects the increase in the level of formation of their financial culture.
